With more than 15 years’ experience in personal injury law, Wendy has a vast array of knowledge in the area and is accredited as a specialist in Personal Injury by the Law Institute of Victoria in recognition of this exceptional knowledge.
Wendy has a keen interest in assisting clients injured in all circumstances with a particular interest in medical negligence law, helping clients who have been deprived of quality medical care.
Her deep compassion for people has also led to her involvement in a number of volunteer roles furthering her ability to connect with people on all levels.
Warm, friendly and considerate, Wendy is sensitive to her clients’ needs and committed in getting the best outcome for them.

Derek joined our Litigation and Insolvency Team in 2010 as a Lawyer. Derek has over 25 years of experience in litigation and insolvency.
Derek has broad experience representing individuals and commercial enterprises doing business in Australia, involved in commercial, personal or professional disputes. Derek’s aim is to help clients get results and to move on from their disputes.
Derek was awarded a B.A. and LL.B from the University of Melbourne, and was admitted to legal practice in 1992.
Derek has represented clients in resolving disputes that range from directors’ disputes to property deals, owners’ corporation issues, wills and estates disputes, restraint of trade clauses, insurance claims, and a variety of regulated industries from liquor & hospitality to real estate to motor car trading.
Additionally, Derek has acted in a variety of public liability, product liability and product recall matters, ranging from mislabelled packaging to army radio batteries, air conditioners, car jacks and babies’ dummies.
Derek has particular experience in:
- Employment law, including unfair dismissal claims
- Professional negligence claims
- Product liability and product safety regulations
- Health and medical law, including privacy and legal compliance issues for medical practitioners
Examples of Derek’s work include:
- Representing a consumer goods retailer after the ACCC alleged the client was in breach of a mandatory labelling standard
- Personal injury claims involving security staff at licensed venues
- Representing a motor car trader after the regulator cancelled his licence for failing to disclose prior convictions
- Acting for a furniture manufacturer/retailer in insurance claims for losses from a fire caused by sparks from building works
- Acting for the air conditioning servicing contractor in a Legionnaires’ disease case
- Representing a consortium of golf clubs regarding the termination of a services contract
Outside of work Derek is a coach and committee member of Richmond Rowing Club, and restores 1980s steel framed road bikes.

Bojana is an astute commercial lawyer experienced in a variety of business areas.
Bojana provides practical, sound and easy to understand advice in relation to all legal aspects of your business and makes a point of being available for her clients whenever needed. She has strong ability to cut through the clutter to promptly get to the heart of issues. Bojana will work to protect her clients’ interests using a combination of preventative measures and litigation when necessary, as well as utilising her excellent negotiation and dispute resolution skills.

The key features of Tom’s approach to legal problem solving are collaborative strategising towards commercial outcomes and a focus on relationship building.
Tom is a senior lawyer who initially joined Lennon Mazzeo in 2011 where he first worked as a paralegal and completed his training contract, before being admitted to practice in February 2014. He moved to London for the year of 2016 where he gained experience at two international firms before returning to Lennon Mazzeo in March 2017.
Tom’s practice areas of expertise include:

Prior to moving to London Tom volunteered at the HIV/AIDS Legal Centre for two years, where he advised vulnerable clients on a variety of issues.

Nick joined the firm as a Lawyer in 2015. He has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation, as well as providing legal advice across a broad range of areas. Nick also appears as an advocate in courts, tribunals and mediations.
Nick’s expertise includes:
- commercial dispute resolution and litigation;
- personal injury claims (WorkCover, TAC, Medical Negligence and Public Liability); and
- wills and estates, including disputes over wills.
Nick’s approach to disputes is pragmatic and strategic. Nick works with you to and assists you in identifying acceptable outcomes, and to develop and execute an appropriate plan to achieve them.
Nick has also volunteered for several not for profit organisations, including advising the Environmental Defenders Office on risk allocation provisions of the Commonwealth Water Act and advising Cape York Communities on opportunities for them to participate in emerging domestic and international carbon markets.

Melanie holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. She is currently completing her Masters of Applied Law and is majoring in Family Law.
Following her admission to practice in 2013, Melanie worked in general practice where she gained significant experience and expertise in Family, Immigration, Succession and Property Law.
Melanie soon came to realise that her passion was for Family Law and she joined the Family Law team at Lennon Mazzeo Lawyers in 2016. Her passion combined with her personable and caring nature allows her to provide an empathetic and professional service while being dedicated to achieving positive and practical outcomes.
Melanie is of Sri Lankan background and speaks the languages fluently. She understands the cross cultural issues faced by clients and their families who are in the process of separation. She has also been a volunteer in her community and has volunteered at community legal centres such as Monash-Oakleigh Legal Centre where she assisted financially disadvantaged clients in a variety of matters including Family Law.
Melanie is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, Victorian Women Lawyers and the Migration Institute of Australia.

Ines is an energetic, compassionate and determined advocate. She was admitted to practice in April 2014, having graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Law. She first commenced work with Lennon Mazzeo Lawyers in 2012 as a trainee.
Ines assists our legal team in a range of areas including litigation, employment law, debt recovery and commercial law generally. She has previous experience as a solicitor in personal injury and family law.
Exceptional practice breadth makes Lennon Mazzeo Lawyers an endlessly stimulating place to work and has offered Ines the opportunity to work within a wide range of legal sectors. She is able to provide a broad range of advice to clients on personal and business related legal matters.
Ines is of Croatian background and speaks the language fluently. She has for many years been a volunteer within her community. She has sat on various committees, organised countless fundraisers and been involved in numerous community integration projects. Her volunteer work also extends to pro bono legal work at HALC, which is a Community Legal Centre that provides free legal advice to people living with and affected by HIV/ AIDS within Victoria.
Ines’ overall experience and caring nature means she is sensitive to the variety of issues that clients and their families face. Maria is our Practice Manager who has been working in the legal industry for approximately 30 years.
Maria works in closely with Partners and all staff. Maria oversees and manages all aspects of our practice which includes management, accounts, information technology, marketing, legal compliance and office administration to ensure efficiency and consistency runs on a daily basis.
